We know some members of our community are affected by the government shutdown and loss of SNAP benefits. Kosher food remains expensive with some products costing up to 50% more than non-Kosher products. We care about our community and want to share a few resources to help.

JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry
Offers emergency food for all Allegheny County residents, 15217 residents and some with select dietary needs qualify to shop in the grocery area. All visitors receive a mix of fresh, frozen and nonperishable foods.

Aleph Institute – Shifra Shed
Provides fresh fruits and vegetables, loaves of bread and other foods every week. Offers chicken, meat, fish and ritual foods for the holidays.
J Café at AgeWell at the JCC
In person, kosher lunch for residents of Allegheny County age 60 and above in Squirrel Hill and the South Hills.
