As the war in Israel continues, we recognize the importance of having a safe space to gather and would like to invite our community to our upcoming events.
Over the past two decades, there have been over twenty shows about Haredi Jews on Israeli television, ranging from family dramas like Shtisel to raunchy comedies such as Chanshi. There has even been a reality dating show, Vort, based on shidduchim (Haredi matchmaking) where young Haredi Jews go on pre-arranged dates with cameras rolling. Why are there so many TV shows about Haredi Jews, and what do these shows tell us about Israeli society today?
