Gefsky Community Scholar Rabbi Danny Schiff

Tuesdays at 9:30 AM, Dec. 6, 2022 - Jan. 31, 2023.

The Gefsky Community Scholar position is endowed by the H. Arnold and Adrien B. Gefsky Endowment Fund of the Federation’s Jewish Community Foundation.

TUESDAYS at 9:30 AM, Dec. 6, 2022 – Jan. 31, 2023.

Chesed – acts of demonstrable kindness – are expected of Jews. And Judaism provides a list of activities that form the core of how to perform chesed. These include: hospitality, visiting the sick, comforting the bereaved, raising the spirits of the depressed, and helping people through crises in their lives. In this chesed workshop, Rabbi Schiff will explore what chesed means in practice and how we might actualize it in our lives.

Chesed in Practice Cost: $85 for 7 sessions (all sessions online via Zoom).
