Jews for a Secular Democracy, through the “Jewish Women and Religious Freedom in Pittsburgh” project, invites you to join us on June 10th at 7:30 pm for an important and very timely webinar on religious freedom and reproductive rights, “Connecting the Dots: Religious Freedom, Reproductive Rights, and Public Policy.” More information is available at: https://bit.ly/jfasdpitt
In the inaugural webinar of JFASD’s Jewish Women and Religious Freedom in Pittsburgh project, we will illuminate the intricate relationship between religious freedom and reproductive freedom, with a particular focus on how this impacts Jewish women and those of other marginalized genders. Now, more than ever, it’s crucial to understand the complexities and interconnectivity of these issues. This unique and vital project is funded through a grant from the Jewish Women’s Foundation of Greater Pittsburgh, underwritten by JWF Trustee Nancy Weissman, in memory of her beloved mother-in-law, JWF Trustee Jacquelin Wechsler.
Through the gripping personal story of Alliyson Feldman and in-depth knowledge of our esteemed panelists, Professor Greer Donley, Professor Rachel Kranson and Rabbi Emily Meyer, this one hour learning journey is designed to educate and engage. By discussing religious freedom and its connection to reproductive rights and other related issues, we will equip participants with the knowledge to advocate for true religious freedom and inclusive policies at all levels of governance. Whether it’s through grassroots activism, community organizing, or legislative engagement, we believe that every voice has the power to make a difference. Register today at https://bit.ly/jfasdpitt.
