Dr. David Pelcovitz, the Gwendolyn and Joseph Straus Chair in Psychology and Jewish Education at Yeshiva University, will share strategies and insights on dealing with tragedy and loss.

Dr. Pelcovitz received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and has published and lectured extensively on parental and child mental health. Areas of research and clinical specialty include family violence, stress management, and helping children and adolescents cope with trauma and loss. Dr. Pelcovitz served for over two decades as director of psychology at North Shore University Hospital-NYU School of Medicine and clinical professor of psychology at NYU School of Medicine.
