On Shabbat, January 4th, the world-wide schedule of Daf Yomi will complete its 13th cycle and on Sunday morning, January 5th begins again the 14th 7-1/2 year cycle.

Locally, there are three Daf Yomi classes that have been studying Daf Yomi for decades, in addition to others in the community who study Daf Yomi on their own.

The Daf Yomi shiurim and learners invite the entire community, men, women and children, to a Siyum and celebration on Saturday night, January 4th at 8:00 P.M. at Shaare Torah.

Prior to the Siyum, at 7:15, there will be an open Beit Midrash session. You are welcome to study by yourself or with your children or with a study partner, there will be group study led by the Rabbis, and the Alvin and Shirley Weinberg Father Son Learning will also meet at Shaare Torah.

After the Siyum there will be some light refreshments for everyone but there will also be a formal Melaveh Malka at 8:30 to which everyone is invited, however, it will be by reservation only.

The suggested minimum donation for the Melaveh Malka is $18 per person. If you wish to make a reservation for the Melaveh Malka, please contact the Shaare Torah office at office@ShaareTorah.net or 412-421-8855 no later than Dec. 31st.

There are also sponsorship opportunities available. If you are interested in sponsoring, please speak to Rabbi Wasserman.
