The legendary dancer and actor Gene Kelly found his professional footing thanks to the Jewish community of Squirrel Hill. In the first part of this two-part “sitting” tour, we will follow the path from his childhood homes in East Liberty and Point Breeze, to his dancing gigs around the region, to his arrival in Squirrel Hill in late 1931.
