Gefsky Community Scholar Rabbi Danny Schiff

Speaking from Jerusalem, Rabbi Schiff will analyze the current fateful moment in Israel’s history for our third Lunch & Learn.

The Gefsky Community Scholar position is endowed by the H. Arnold and Adrien B. Gefsky Endowment Fund of the Federation’s Jewish Community Foundation.

Hear from our Federation Scholar, Rabbi Dr. Danny Schiff, as he presents “Israel: Why Coming Together Right Now Isn’t Happening,” and discusses the current fateful moment in Israel’s history. He will discuss current events in Israeli society, and how decisions made in the next few weeks will shape Israel for decades.

Rabbi Dr. Danny Schiff is the Federation Scholar at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. He is a noted teacher and researcher in Jewish ethics, and is the author of Judaism in a Digital Age, published by Macmillan, and Abortion in Judaism.
