This book discussion will be offered on Zoom. RSVP to receive to link.
Ariel Burger’s book is both a biography of Elie Wiesel as a teacher and philosopher but also a commentary on how we can engage our students as teachers ourselves. What lessons can we take from Wiesel as a teacher? Collectively reading this book together and meeting online in virtual discussion is timely now in that it allows us to think what is most important for us as teachers to convey now in times of uncertainty for ourselves and our students. Thinking about tolerance and acceptance, civil discourse, and empathy, can continue online and through our community of scholars through this online program of Classrooms Without Borders.
Weekly meetings online begin on April 1st at 1:00 pm. The discussion will be led by Dr. Joshua Andy, Winchester Thurston School.
