Menorah Case
Jewish Law Students’ Association and JGrads Pittsburgh present: Separation of Church and State, Religion in Public VS. Religion as a Private Affair.
Join us for a reenactment of the Landmark First Amendment Case of County of Allegheny V. American Civil Liberties Union (1989) concerning the display of a Menorah at Pittsburgh’s City-County Building.
Jon Pushinsky, Esq., represented the ACLU, currently chairperson of the Greater Pittsburgh ACLU’s Legal Committee, will present the case of the prosecution (why the Menorah violates the Establishment clause.)
