Our final Lion of Judah Lunch and Learn will focus on antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment on college campuses. We will be joined by Danielle Kranjec, Associate Vice President of Hillel International’s Center for Jewish and Israel Education/Meyerhoff Center and Kari Exler, Assistant Director of Hillel JUC for this engaging event.
Danielle Kranjec is the associate vice president of Hillel International’s Center for Jewish and Israel Education/Meyerhoff Center, responsible for the educational approach that helps students develop and grow their Jewish knowledge, friendships, and identities. Kranjec previously served as Director of Campus Initiatives for the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America, and prior to that spent eight years as the Senior Jewish Educator at Hillel Jewish University Center of Pittsburgh.
Kari Exler begins her full time role with Hillel JUC after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with her Masters in Social Work, during which she worked with Hillel as the MSW intern. Kari received her BA in Sociology from DePaul University before moving to Louisville, KY to work as the Jewish Youth Director at the Jewish Community of Louisville. During her time in Louisville, Kari oversaw the day camp experience, BBYO, JCC Maccabi Games, International March of the Living and other programs which helped shape her understanding of youth engagement. Kari is eager to continue her work with Hillel JUC and can most likely be found catching up with students over coffee! While not working, Kari enjoys spending time with her fiancée and dogs Lucy and Frankie, baking, reading, and cheering on her Cleveland Cavaliers!
