Pulcastro\nSupervisory Intelligence Analyst\, FBI Pittsburgh \nSIA Pulcastro has over 37 years of experience working Counterterrorism matters for the FBI\, with a special emphasis on racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists (REMVE)\, sadistic online exploitation (SOE) and other domestic extremist ideologies. \nAs a result of his experience in crisis management and post-attack investigations\, SIA Pulcastro has been called upon on numerous occasions to assist with post-attack critical incidents to include: the 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks in New York\, Pennsylvania\, and Washington\, DC; the 2011 attempted bombing of the Martin Luther King Jr\, parade in Spokane\, Washington; the horrific attack conducted by Robert Bowers targeting the Tree of Life Synagogue here in Pittsburgh in 2018; the 2024 Attempted Assassination of President Trump in Butler\, PA; and most recently\, the Assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah. \nSIA Pulcastro currently manages FBI Pittsburgh’s Counterterrorism matter Intelligence Program and supervises a cadre of analysts who work both international and domestic terrorism matters. \nMadisyn Moore\nIntelligence Analyst\, FBI Pittsburgh \nMadisyn Moore has been a Staff Operations Specialist in the Pittsburgh Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for over 11 years. During that time\, she has provided analytical support to national security and criminal investigations and during critical incidents. \nJessica Lieber Smolar\nFormer Assistant United State Attorney \nJessica Lieber Smolar served as an Assistant United States Attorney in both the Criminal and Civil Divisions of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania for 30 years. At the time of her retirement in March 2025\, she was the Chief of the Criminal Division’s Economic Crime\, National Security and Cyber Crime Section and served as the Office’s Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council (ATAC) Coordinator. Ms. Smolar handled and supervised large-scale fraud\, counterterrorism\, cybercrime\, child exploitation and human trafficking prosecutions. \n

SUMMARY:Jewish Farming and Religious Alternative Food Movements in the United States
DESCRIPTION:Religious people are coming together across religious and non-religious differences to change the food system. In this lecture\, Adrienne Krone will provide insights into these religious communities from her new book Free-Range Religion: Alternative Food Movements and Religious Life in the United States. The book is an ethnographic exploration of four religious alternative food movement communities. In this lecture\, Adrienne Krone will focus on the two Jewish community farming communities in the book\, which are the Adamah Farm Fellowship at the Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center in northwest Connecticut and Pearlstone Center in Reisterstown\, Maryland. \nAdrienne Krone is Associate Professor of Environmental Science & Sustainability and Religious Studies at Allegheny College\, where she is also Chair of Jewish Studies.
