On Oct. 27, the day of the shooting, the Jewish Federation’s Fund for the Victims of Terror received a financial gift from students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, site of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, in February. An accompanying note said that the students would be available if Pittsburghers wanted to “reach out for anything or just to talk.”
