Emergency Medical Training

4-Session Series

This is a 4-session series for emergency medical training that covers the following topics:

First to Respond (2 hour course)

Emergencies can happen anywhere at any time. They can be caused by humans or nature. Being prepared and responding appropriately can mean the difference between life and death. This class will focus on the basics of tending to someone experiencing a medical issue and will walk you through what to do until first responders arrive.

AED Use • “Hands only” CPR • Deploying Narcan (2 hour course)

An introduction and overview that consists of lecture and hands on demonstration. The goal is to give students a hands-on experience so that they are more comfortable using an AED, performing CPR, deploying Narcan and responding to choking victims. This is not a certification course for those needing CPR certification.

Stop the Bleed (STB) (2 hour course)

With three quick actions, you can be trained to save a life. The number one cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. That’s why we want to train you how to STOP THE BLEED.

CPR Certification (2 hour course)

CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) training equip participants with essential skills for responding to life-threatening emergencies. Participants will learn the critical steps in emergency response, including early recognition, activation of emergency services and effective resuscitation. Upon completion, participants will receive certification in CPR for adults, children and infants.
