Pomegranate Society
Women planting seeds of Philanthropy
The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh is pleased to bring back the Pomegranate Society, recognizing women who support the Community Campaign with annual gifts ranging from $1,800-$4,999. The pomegranate is one of the seven fruits named in the Torah and is said to contain 613 seeds, one for each mitzvah mentioned in the Torah. A Pomegranate Society member’s dedication to our community is a seed that will bear fruit for years to come.
Many women choose to wear a signature Pomegranate Society pin as a symbol of their commitment, adding rubies or “seeds” each year they give. Should you wish to learn more about purchasing a Pomegranate pin, please contact Emma Renfrew at erenfrew@jfedpgh.org or 412-992-5212.
