Development Associate in Corporate Giving

Support the Jewish Federation’s corporate giving programs, including corporate partnership efforts, department sponsorship initiatives, and event underwriting.

Reporting to the Director, Development and Community Campaign, the Development Associate, Corporate Giving is responsible for engaging with members of the Greater Pittsburgh business community to support the Jewish Federation’s corporate giving programs, including corporate partnership efforts, department sponsorship initiatives, and event underwriting. The Associate handles the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and engagement with the Department of Community and Economic Development. The Associate also supports the annual Community Campaign organized by the State College Jewish Federation.


Corporate Engagement

  • Cultivates relationships with existing participants in the Jewish Federation’s Corporate Partners program by organizing quarterly engagements and communicating relevant news about Federation programs and engagement opportunities.
  • Solicits support for Federation programs, events, and fundraising efforts.
  • Ensures organizational compliance with guidelines outlined for Corporate Partners and sponsors.
  • Seeks to grow the Federation’s network of corporate sponsors through individual outreach and involvement in community programs.


  • Coordinates all aspects of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, including filing program applications on behalf of the Jewish Federation and its corporate partners and submitting gift acknowledgment letters to relevant companies and state offices.
  • Manages written and verbal communications with prospects, donors, state government agencies, Jewish day school and Pre-Kindergarten programs.
  • Engages with donors to support individual outreach and solicitation for EITC.
  • Maintain accurate records of EITC gifts and correspondence.

State College

  • Manages the fundraising operations for the State College, PA annual community campaign.
  • Works collaboratively with the State College campaign chair/committee to ensure the success of the campaign.
  • Manages and organizes marketing requests and donor records.
  • Collaborates with accounting to process gifts and allocations.


  • Bachelors’ degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a non-profit setting with a focus on fundraising. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information including through written letters and presentations, preparation of documents including invoices and grant reports.
  • Must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19
  • Must be available to work some evenings, weekends and be able to travel for local meetings. Valid Drivers’ license must be maintained throughout employment.


This position has a competitive salary of $50,000-$60,000 a year to commensurate with experience.
