Statement from the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh

The United States has taken decisive action to neutralize the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran—an action aimed at protecting American, Israeli and global security. For decades, Iran has fueled instability through its support of terror proxies like Hamas and Hezbollah and played a key role in the atrocities of October 7. A nuclear Iran would pose an intolerable threat to global peace. We pray for the safety of U.S. personnel in the region and for wisdom among leaders navigating this dangerous moment.

The Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh remains steadfastly committed to the people of Israel and the hostages still held in Gaza. We hope this moment ultimately leads all parties to work together to remove threats to Israel and to enhance regional and global security.
