American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev will screen Epilogue, a highly acclaimed film based on a a six hour interview with David Ben-Gurion in 1968 - Ben-Gurion was 82 years old and out of public life. The event is hosted by Congregation Beth-Shalom. The New York Times review of the film, Epilogue, was:  “Ben-Gurion: Epilogue” is a refreshing and effectively edited documentary that has at its core a six-hour black-and-white interview conducted in 1968. as he was just leaving politics.  Lost…

Julie Orringer The first author in the 2020 Beth Shalom Speaker Series is Julie Orringer and her new novel "The Flight Portfolio." Set in 1940, it's the story of real life hero Varian Fry, who traveled to France carrying $3,000 and a list of imperiled artists and writers he hoped to help escape within a few weeks.
