Your Center for Philanthropy in Pittsburgh
With more than $464M under management and 1,500+ charitable funds fueling generosity, we help you strengthen Jewish and secular causes across Pittsburgh and beyond.
Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
With a minimum gift of $5,000 ($2,500 for Young Adults), you can establish a DAF and receive a charitable tax deduction in the year your fund is created. You may continue contributing to the fund over time, receive additional deductions and recommend grants to qualified public charities, both Jewish and non-Jewish alike.
Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE)
A Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE) turns your $5,000+ Lion gift into a permanent, $100,000+ endowment, ensuring your passion for Jewish Pittsburgh continues supporting community needs long into the future.
Bunching Donations
Bunching lets you make multiple years of charitable gifts at once into a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), so you can itemize in the year you contribute and still support your favorite Jewish and non‑Jewish organizations every year.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) are tax-free transfers made directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to a qualified charity. QCDs can be used to seed or grow a permanent endowment at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.
