Bubbe Bingo Brunch Will Raise Funds for Community and Feature Popular Spangled Emcees

Boas and bingo bangles will be attire du jour for Amneeja and Dixie, popular drag-queen hostesses who will emcee Bubbe Bingo Brunch, an event of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s Young Adult Division. The in-person event will be Sunday, March 27, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at Congregation Beth Shalom, 5915 Beacon St., Squirrel Hill. Bubbe Bingo, a fundraiser for the Jewish Federation’s 2022 Community Campaign, will benefit agencies and programs in Jewish Pittsburgh and worldwide.

“Amneeja and Dixie inaugurated Bubbe Bingo virtually last year. They were so much fun that we had to bring them back for the in-person experience,” Event Chair Sam Kline said. “Bubbe Bingo Brunch gives young adults, ages 22 to 45, a creative and inclusive way to show their commitment to Jewish Pittsburgh.”

Admission to Bubbe Bingo Brunch includes open bar, themed bingo cards and a kosher (Vaad-certified) brunch buffet. Amneeja and Dixie will bestow prizes on bingo winners.

Event committee members are Alaina Bernstein, Leah Cullen, Julie and Neil Friedman, Alex Goodstein,
Rebecca Kentor and David Knoll, Tanya Koul and Steven T. Strausbaugh, Ronna and Tim Pratt, Zach Schwartz,
and Maxwell Briskman Stanfield.

Early-bird pricing, available through March 3, is $50 per individual and $100 per couple. Regular pricing is $75 for individuals and $150 per couple.

The Jewish Federation will implement measures regarding COVID-related safety; visit the event website to learn about COVID protocols.
