The Gefsky Community Scholar position is endowed by the H. Arnold and Adrien B. Gefsky Endowment Fund of the Federation’s Jewish Community Foundation.

What does Jewish law say about growing older? In this thoughtful course, we’ll explore timeless teachings and modern insights on aging, dignity and caring for our elders—drawing from classical texts and contemporary responsa to guide us through the mitzvot and ethical questions that come with this stage of life.
