Please join us to acknowledge and honor Pittsburgh doctors who went to Israel to do what they could when the war broke out, with the support of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh—on Yom Ha’atzmaut, the day that we celebrate Israel’s Independence.

Rabbi Danny Schiff, the H. Arnold and Adrien B. Gefsky Community Scholar, will explore the Jewish call, “Do Not Stand Idly by While Your People Bleeds.” Additionally, hear from the Federation’s own Director of Israel & Overseas Planning & Impact Kim Salzman on her experiences living in Israel during the war. A dessert reception will follow.
