Join JPro Pittsburgh to learn how to write successful grant proposals and get an inside look at the Jewish Federation’s grant-making process. The session will begin with Grant Writing 101: Introduction to Writing Effective Proposals, followed by a presentation on the Jewish Federation’s new grant-making criteria and requests for proposals.

As Grant Writer for Federation, Susan identifies funding opportunities and applies for grants to support Federation and our community partners. She holds the credential of Grant Professional Certified. Previously, she was the Grants Coordinator for Jewish Family and Community Services for 10+ years, and has more than 20 years of experience as a professional writer and journalist.
Ilene Rinn
Associate Vice President, Planning & Impact, Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh
As the Associate Vice President, Planning and Impact at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, Ilene is responsible for building the Federation’s role as a convener on community issues and as steward of community dollars. Before joining the Federation 11 years ago, Ilene worked at several non-profit organizations in New York, and Washington D.C. She is passionate about solving complex community issues with partner organizations.
