Come join us for a meaningful walk/run in the trails around Frick Environmental Center to honour the life of Major Ilay Zisser, who was killed by Hamas terrorists on 10/7 in Kfar Aza.  Ilay was the youngest of four children, raised in Givat Ella, a small community in Israel.  Ilay served in the IDF for ten years in the elite Sayeret Matkal unit.  In 2022, Ilay married the love of his life, Tomer, and they planned to build their home in the Negev after his service.  On 10/7, Ilay was among the first soldiers to enter Kfar Aza in an attempt to rescue civilians and was killed by Hamas terrorists.  His brother, Ido Zisser, who will be coming from Israel for this event, started the organization, “Running with Zisser,” to tell Ilay’s story and celebrate his memory in a way Ilay loved the most – by spending time with friends and running in nature.  The walk/run will be followed by the weekly vigil to bring back the hostages.
