Recital for voice, piano, oboe and English horn that celebrates the life and legacy of Etty Hillesum, a Dutch Jewish writer who perished in Auschwitz in 1943, but who left us her wisdom and light in her view of a better world. Fragments of her letters and diaries are intertwined with songs from ghettos and theater in Yiddish.
