We are thrilled to feature Federation’s own Director of Israel & Overseas and author Kim Salzman as she discusses her novel, Straddling Black and White.
The story follows a teenage girl who takes part in the mass immigration of Ethiopian Jewry to Israel in the 1980’s, and the struggles and complexities she faces once there. Salzman’s fictionalized account was inspired by her work at the Jewish Federation with Ethiopian Jewish immigrants in Israel.
In-person attendees will receive a copy of Straddling Black and White (included in ticket price).
Straddling Black and White is available on Amazon.
