Donors with Heart

Lev, which stands for heart in Hebrew, is at the core of Lev Society. Donors who have supported the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh Community Campaign for 32* years or more are eligible to be part of this group of dedicated supporters of the Federation's mission.

*Gematria is the practice of assigning a numerical value to a name, word or phrase by reading it as a number, or sometimes by using an alphanumerical cipher. The letters of the alphabets involved have standard numerical values, but a word can yield several values if a cipher is used. The word Lev is made of two letters in Hebrew: Lamed (30) and Vet (2). In Gematria, Lev adds up to 32.
