In a year of extraordinary challenges, the Pittsburgh community responded by raising a historic $14.1 million through the Community Campaign. Additionally, the Jewish Community Foundation reached an all-time in high assets under management of $351.8 million, with a total of $21.8 million new dollars added this fiscal year. This marks the first time in its history that the Foundation has exceeded the $350 million milestone at year end.

“Our community’s incredible support through the $14.1 million raised in the Community Campaign reflects a deep commitment to sustaining and enriching Jewish life both here and Israel,” said Debbie Resnick, Community Campaign Chair.

“We are thrilled to surpass $350 million in foundation assets, ensuring support for older adults, others in need and the larger Jewish community locally and globally,” said David Sufrin, Jewish Community Foundation Chair.

The Federation also raised $8 million towards the Israel Emergency Relief Fund in parallel with the Community Campaign. This fund is part of an incredible national effort by the Jewish Federations of North America, collectively raising $850 million as of August 2024 to support critical relief efforts in Israel.

In addition to community support, the Federation successfully leveraged contributions from government partners, corporate sponsors, foundations and private donors, bringing the total fundraising achievement for the year to an impressive $47.6 million.

“We are deeply grateful to our community and partners for their unwavering support in helping us achieve these remarkable milestones,” said Jeff Finkelstein, CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. “These funds will continue to fuel vital programs and services that uplift Jewish life here and abroad, ensuring a strong and vibrant future.”
