Lior Halevi grew up in Kibbutz Tirat Zvi in Israel’s Beit She’an Valley. She began playing basketball at the age of 15 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a member of Israel’s U16, U18, U20 and elite Women’s National Teams in both 5×5 and 3×3 formats. In 2015, she was part of Israel’s 3×3 National Team that won the bronze medal at the U18 European Championship. Lior also played professionally in Israel’s Women’s National First League before being drafted into the Israeli Army, where she served for two years.

After completing her service, she was recruited to play Division 1 basketball for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Despite arriving in the United States without speaking English, she earned her undergraduate degree in Marketing in May 2023 and her MBA in May 2024, all while competing at the highest collegiate level.
