Join this immersive Jewish journey through the American South together with local Jewish youth professionals.

Open to teens attending part-time Jewish schools in Grades 10 and 11.

The Capstone Civil Rights Journey to the American South has been made possible thanks to the very generous support of The Fine Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.

The Capstone Study Tour will provide an opportunity for participants to gain a deeper understanding of the struggles African Americans faced in their fight for equality during the 1950s and 60s. Additionally, participants will learn about the vital role that Jews played in the Civil Rights struggle. Through this experience, participants will gain a greater appreciation for the importance of caring and taking action when others are oppressed, particularly as a people who have known oppression themselves.
