I grew up as an observant Jew, but I felt that it wasn’t the right place for me. It seems to me that people worship God out of fear instead of love. It was more about obeying the rules of Halacha then contemplating the essence of our lives. Being a Rastafarian is a challenging thing because you don’t have a strict guideline on how to live your life. You have much more freedom to choose but with that freedom comes a lot of responsibility.
