Please Be Aware

The Security Team at the Jewish Federation is continually monitoring all security related situations and online chatter involving our community. We remain in close communication with law enforcement and relevant security partners.  In light of the ongoing conflict in Iran, the recent hacker driven antisemitic chatter on a police radio channel (see article below) and the Tucker Carlson conspiracy circulating online targeting Chabad (see article below), our law enforcement partners have been fully briefed. You may see increased patrols around our Jewish institutions out of an abundance of caution.

Please be aware of the following guidance for Jewish Institutions following the war in Iran, and review the Eight Best Practices: Joint Security Guidance for Jewish Institutions Following Strikes on Iran | The Jewish Federations of North America

Dan Sohail, 36-year-old male arrested in the January 28 car ramming incident at a Chabad Headquarters in New York City was charged federally with intentionally damaging religious property. See article below for more on this.

So far in 2026 we have logged 48 incidents in our Virtual Command Center which is in comparison to 52 at this time last year. Please continue to report any suspicious incidents via the Incident Report Form.
