We are continuing to closely monitor the current threat landscape in collaboration with our law enforcement and intelligence partners. While there are no known direct or indirect threats targeting our community, we want to remind everyone to remain vigilant and to report anything suspicious, unusual or concerning via 911 and through our Incident Report Form.
An individual named Clift Seferlis was sentenced to 37 months in prison and three years supervised release for targeting Jewish institutions across the eastern United States. Seferlis targeted at least 25 Jewish organizations by mailing more than three dozen threatening letters and postcards. Seferlis pleaded guilty to 17 counts of mailing threatening communication and eight counts of obstructing the free exercise of religious beliefs. So far in 2026 we have logged 60 incidents in our Virtual Command Center which is in comparison to 59 at this time last year. Please continue to report any suspicious incidents via the Incident Report Form.

Navigating Digital Threats: Strategies to Prevent Online Child Exploitation
Thursday, July 23 @ 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM EDTAhead of the next school year, please join the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse for a virtual training on preventing and responding to online child exploitation in K-12 communities. This session will feature a panel discussion with experts from the U.S. Department of Justice and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, who will share valuable tools and resources to combat online child exploitation and educate teachers, students and families.
