Please Be Aware

We are continuing to closely monitor the current threat landscape in collaboration with our law enforcement and intelligence partners. While there are no known direct or indirect threats targeting our community, we want to remind everyone to remain vigilant and to report anything suspicious, unusual or concerning via 911 and through our Incident Report Form.

An individual named Clift Seferlis was sentenced to 37 months in prison and three years supervised release for targeting Jewish institutions across the eastern United States. Seferlis targeted at least 25 Jewish organizations by mailing more than three dozen threatening letters and postcards. Seferlis pleaded guilty to 17 counts of mailing threatening communication and eight counts of obstructing the free exercise of religious beliefs.
