Happy Rosh Hashana!

There will not be a newsletter next week.

Please Be Aware

We have undertaken significant security planning in preparation for the High Holidays. These efforts include bolstering our armed guard presence, coordinating with local police departments to provide additional patrols and testing our emergency response systems. As you celebrate the Jewish New Year, please remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity.

Andrew Clinton was released from state prison on Monday, August 31, 2026 after serving a three-year sentence. Clinton previously victimized members of the Squirrel Hill Jewish community by gaining their trust under false pretenses and then stealing from homes and businesses. For reference, see Alleged Serial Burglar Arrested Again (jewishchronicle.com). As part of his release, Clinton is not allowed in the Squirrel Hill, Greenfield or Regent Square areas of Pittsburgh, nor is he allowed to communicate in any way with our community in those areas. If he is seen or heard from in those areas, please contact the Community Security Team. Please do not share this information on social media.

So far in 2026 we have logged 190 incidents in our Virtual Command Center which is in comparison to 205 at this time last year. Please continue to report any suspicious incidents via the Incident Report Form.
