Security Update

From the Federation Security Team

Please Be Aware

The FBI just released its Internet Crimes Report for 2023. Internet crimes continue to be the costliest crimes tracked, with losses last year of approximately $12.5 billion vs. $10.3 billion last year. Reporting these crimes to IC3.gov is essential to collect and connect dots with these scammers across the country. You can view the full report online at ic3.gov. If you have been a victim of cyber-enabled fraud, please let us know and we can help guide you on what to do. We have had several instances of cyber fraud recently targeting the Jewish community, through various schemes.

So far in 2024, the Jewish Federation has logged 56 incidents in our Virtual Command Center. We remain in a heightened threat environment and are working closely with law enforcement to monitor potential threat activity.
