Please Be Aware
Due to the 4th of July holiday, this posting was released a day early. Also, there will be no post next week, the week of July 8.
Tree of Life Synagogue received an on-line hoax bomb threat on July 2. The hoax threat is in line with other hoax threats that we have seen targeting Jewish organizations across the country. FBI and Pittsburgh Police are investigating. See below article.
Year to Date 2024, the Jewish Federation has logged 162 incidents in our Virtual Command Center. This compares to 113 YTD 2023. We remain in a heightened threat environment and are working closely with law enforcement to monitor potential threat activity. Please continue to report any suspicious incidents to us using the Incident Report Form.
