What a Yom Ha’azmaut! Today we celebrated the Israeli independence day!
We started our day at Community Day School (CDS) singing and dancing with Israeli songs outside. Following the dancing, all of the school went inside to see the amazing Carnival that we’ve made for this special day! There was Israeli dancing, Israeli trivia, Israeli games and much much more!
After CDS we went to the second floor at the JCC where we hung out with the teens, played Gaga, but most importantly – we ate some Israeli food! There’s nothing like a good Falafel.
Next up was the Israeli American Council (IAC) celebration. It which was awesome. We were so excited to see how much people love Israel and how important it is for them to celebrate “Yom Ha’azmaut.”
To sum it up, we could really feel the atmosphere of the day, and once again we got to see all the love that Pittsburgh’s Jewish Community has toward Israel 🙂
