Building a healthy board culture is hard. It’s slow, it’s often frustrating and it’s also the thing that determines whether everything else you’re trying to do actually works. As the saying goes, culture eats strategy for breakfast, and it’ll eat your mission statement too, if you let it. Too many boards drift toward dysfunction: quiet resentments, trust deficits and meetings that feel more like negotiations than partnerships. This session digs into what it actually takes to avoid that cliff: shared stewardship, a real commitment to the greater good and the groundwork most boards never get around to laying.
You’ll leave with practical ways to build trust around your board table and ideas you can bring to your very next meeting.
