This will be followed by a discussion with the Director of the Community Relations Council Laura Cherner and Israel and Overseas Planning and Impact Associate Debbie Swartz. This event is in person with limited capacity at the Squirrel Hill JCC.
Who actually attacked Israel—who is Hamas? What is Jihad? Explore how the theology and legacy of Jihad continues to impact the 21st century Middle East with its demands for Jewish/Israeli destruction and undermining attempts by Arab governments to achieve conflict resolution. The complicated relationships between secular Arab nationalism and Jihadist groups such as Hamas ensures instability for years to come. How can Israel and the West come out on top?
