Federation Staff Receives Food & Support

As Jewish Federation staff worked to respond to the violence, they were moved to receive a basket of fruit from friends at the Crossroad Community Church, Butler, Pa. Cards and letters of support have arrived from Jewish Federations as far away as Vancouver, Canada.

Memorial Held in Karmiel, Israel – Pittsburgh’s Sister Region

On Oct. 30, community members in Karmiel, Israel, held a memorial on behalf of the victims from the three congregations in the Tree of Life building. Karmiel is in Pittsburgh’s “sister region” of Karmiel-Misgav. For more than 20 years, Pittsburgh and Karmiel-Misgav have been building relationships through the Partnership2Gether program.
