The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh is pleased to announce the visit of a delegation from Sharaka to promote dialogue, understanding and cooperation between diverse communities. The Federation is partnering with the Beacon Coalition and StandWithUs to facilitate a series of events. Sharaka, an organization dedicated to strengthening relationships between Israel and the Arab world, will engage with students, community leaders, and the general public through discussions, lectures and interfaith gatherings.
“We are honored to host Sharaka in Pittsburgh as part of our ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful conversations about the complexities of the Middle East and opportunities for cooperation. These events will provide invaluable opportunities for community members to engage with Sharaka representatives and gain a deeper understanding of the region’s cultural and religious dynamics.”
~Laura Cherner, Director of the Federation’s Community Relations Council
An event open to the entire community will take place on Sunday, March 2 at 7 PM at the JCC in Squirrel Hill. Register jewishpgh.org/event/sharaka.
This event is part of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s ongoing efforts to create meaningful engagement around interfaith and intercultural dialogue.
