That’s Federation
Lev Society honors donors who’ve given to Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s Community Campaign for 32 years or more. Lev means “heart” in Hebrew, and its letters add up to 32.
Members have supported Federation and our community for decades. On Thursday, October 29, they put that commitment into action.
At the Lev Society Community Impact Evening at Our Giving Kitchen, a record 100 participants rolled up their sleeves and prepared 200 meals for people in need. The evening brought together longtime donors, community leaders and friends to connect through ma’asim tovim, or good deeds.
Guests also heard from Rabbi Chezky Rosenfeld, who runs Our Giving Kitchen with his wife, Bassie. He said some of the first grants that helped launch their work came from Federation’s COVID-19 relief funds.
That’s one more way Federation strengthens our community. By backing established organizations and new ideas alike, we turn generosity into meaningful action.
That’s giving back.
That’s impact.
That’s Federation.
