Impact Stories:
Turning Resilience Into Opportunity. That’s Federation.
March 27, 2026
When rockets fell in northern Israel, businesses didn’t just face uncertainty. They faced impossible choices.
Close their doors.
Lay off employees.
Or try to hold on through it all.
Thanks to you, they didn’t have to face those choices alone.
Through the Pittsburgh Loan Fund, we’ve helped entrepreneurs in Karmiel and Misgav keep going, even in the face of war and economic disruption. Since its founding, the fund has provided nearly NIS 39 million in loans, transforming an initial investment into a powerful engine for stability and growth.
But the real story isn’t the dollars. It’s the people behind them.
It’s a business owner able to reopen after a rocket strike.
It’s a family whose livelihood stays intact.
It’s a community holding on when everything feels uncertain.
Because this is a revolving fund, every dollar loaned doesn’t just make an impact once. It keeps moving, supporting business after business, year after year.
One of those businesses is El Kincho, a company that designs and builds outdoor kitchens. With help from the loan fund, they expanded production, opened a new showroom and reached new customers. What started as an idea is now a growing company creating jobs and opportunities.

Behind every number is a story like theirs.
And behind every story is you.
Even now, as recovery begins slowly and uncertainty remains, Federation is there. Providing the stability, confidence and resources people need to rebuild their lives and livelihoods.
That’s what kol yisrael aravim ze l’ze (the entire People of Israel are responsible for each other) means.
That’s what it means to be a community.
That’s Federation.
