They say a picture is worth a thousand words. The photo below is of all the supplies our Federation staff will be taking to Israel for our MEGA MISSION. The trip begins a week from Monday in Tel Aviv with 240 participants! I profoundly remember the last Mega Mission in 2012 when the busses let us off and the whole group came together for the first time in Israel at Mt. Arbel. It was breathtaking to see so many from Pittsburgh in Israel. I can’t wait for that same feeling a week from Monday in Tel Aviv. I wish all our mission participants a Nisiah Tova, a safe trip.

Concurrently, as we complete final preparations for the mission, we are working diligently to complete our 2022 Community Campaign. The great news is that we are hovering around $13.4 million towards our $14 million goal. And, our Foundation has already added $21 million in new assets this fiscal year against our goal of $20 million. The first words of our newly adopted mission statement are “Cultivate Resources” and we are successfully doing so.

I can’t wait to see many of you tomorrow night at our Community Wide Tikkun Leil Shavuot at the JCC in Squirrel Hill. Learning sessions begin at 10 pm and run until 1 am. We have a terrific lineup of teachers. Check it out and please wear a mask.
