The Jewish Federation distributed the first round of security funding for Jewish organizations, a total of $377,303 to 31 different organizations. The organizations received a variety of levels of funding depending on needs, facilities, the number of people they serve and other factors. The money will go to a variety of security improvements including buttons that immediately alert first responders, communications equipment, alarms, cameras and other access control and monitoring systems.
