Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh Announces Record-Breaking $14.2 Million Community Campaign and Secures $25 Million in New Foundation Dollars

The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh today announced a record-breaking $14.2 million raised through its 2025 Community Campaign, the highest total in the organization’s history. The campaign closed at the end of the fiscal year on June 30, fueled by an outpouring of generosity from thousands of donors across the community. The Foundation also secured more than $25 million in new funds, bringing it to a new record of more than $390 million in assets under management.

In total, including the record-setting Community Campaign, the Foundation’s increased assets and supplemental giving from government and corporate partners, the Federation secured $43.4 million in 2025. This comprehensive achievement reflects both the depth of support for Jewish Pittsburgh and the Federation’s ability to leverage diverse funding streams to strengthen and sustain the community.

“This incredible result is a testament to the power of our community that cares.”
~ Debbie Resnick, 2025 Community Campaign Chair

“Whether you gave for the first time or have supported the Federation for decades, this milestone belongs to you. I’m also deeply grateful to our talented Development team, the many volunteer leaders who championed this effort and the entire Federation staff, who work tirelessly every day to ensure this community is strong, secure and thriving,” said Resnick.

The annual Community Campaign is the core fundraising effort of the Federation, providing vital support to dozens of local, national and international partners. The Federation continues to highlight the often unseen but deeply impactful ways donor dollars strengthen Jewish life.

Thanks to this year’s record total, the Federation will be able to:

  • Fund security infrastructure and personnel to help protect Jewish spaces across the region
  • Support Pittsburgh’s three Jewish day schools, ensuring access to high-quality Jewish education
  • Sustain Hillel JUC and Chabad programs on our college campuses, providing Jewish connection and community for students
  • Bolster community pillars like the Jewish Community Center (JCC), Jewish Association on Aging (JAA), Jewish Family and Community Services (JFCS) and the Branch
  • Respond to urgent human needs locally and abroad, including support for Israel and global Jewish communities

“None of this is possible without our donors,” said Resnick. “Each contribution, large or small, helps us meet essential needs, nurture Jewish identity and plan for the future. Together, we are making an extraordinary impact.”

THAT’S FEDERATION.
