Last Christmas I went with my boyfriend to visit my family in Mozambique. So far it sounds pretty ordinary, but when you take into account that his mother decided to come along with us you realize that it’s not so ordinary at all. When we proposed her to come along we didn’t think she would be into it, but she surprised us all. When we got there, it was a little bit like “My big fat Greek wedding” but our mothers clicked, and although the trip was intense, I think it ended up with some really wonderful and unforgettable moments. It just showed me that sometimes our anxiety is a little bit overestimated. Good things can happen when you get outside of your comfort zone.
