The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh is pleased to announce receiving a $150,000 grant from the State of Pennsylvania Nonprofit Security Grant Program. The funds will be used to enhance the safety and security of the Federation and its partner organizations through several key initiatives.
The grant will support the following projects:
- License Plate Recognition (LPR) Project – Installation of new software and cameras to monitor vehicle activity around our facilities.
- Tactical Maps – Creation of detailed tactical maps for our affiliated organizations to assist law enforcement and security personnel in emergency preparedness and response.
- Additional Guard Funding – Increased security personnel presence throughout the community.
In addition to the Federation’s grant, 28 partner organizations received $1,447,947 in additional funds. The Federation also supported multiple faith-based organizations who collectively received a total of $230,753.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh continues to work closely with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure the highest level of security for the Jewish community and other vulnerable populations in the region.
